Single occupancy only, so no couples/kids. Women only. Current lease ends late next fall.
Rent + bills (internet and power) split 50/50 averages out to around $790 per person. Move in costs are 1st months rent, 1st and last months bills and a non-refundable “deposit”. Due to severe allergic reactions I can only live with non-smokers. (That includes vaping). Even if it’s off property. This is a hard no for me. (I don’t know how to be more clear about this. If you use either I can’t live with you without a potential hospital visit, and that’s the best case scenario.)
About me: I’m super left leaning, anti-fascist (can’t believe that needs to be said) Queer, not religious, don’t drink/do drugs (not because I necessarily have issues with any of that, my body just won’t let me.) I love art, vintage stuff, yoga, dogs, and women’s soccer. I cook a lot but don’t enjoy it. I admittedly look/sound kinda basic but then if you saw my art you’d probably expect a goth, as I do have an affinity for “dark and kinda creepy”. Or super creepy, depending on who is doing the judging. Currently obsessed with Interview with the vampire if that gives any indication.
I am very health conscious for health reasons, but I am NOT one of those obsessive white wellness, “clean living” people, i just like/do some adjacent things, most of which are just to keep my body from going haywire.
I have a dog, a senior mutt who is about 30 pounds. He loves everyone, and kind of assumes everyone loves him back, so if you don’t really like dogs living with us won’t be for you. Otherwise he’s a velcro dog, so almost always with me, and I don’t expect a roommate to watch him. Other dogs are a no, ONE cat is a MAYBE, but I’d prefer someone with no other pets even if just because I don’t know how my dog will react and I don’t want to risk anything happening.
I work from home and make my own schedule and my days are usually a little backwards, where i do whatever random stuff earlier in the day and then work later, so I’m usually out of the way in my room in the late afternoons/evenings. I don’t know many people in the area, so I won’t be having many, if any, people over as I tend to go out to socialize just to get out of the house for a bit. If I do have people over i’ll give forewarning, but there won’t be full on parties or anything. I’m not super interested in dating at the moment either. So overall I’m pretty quiet and keep to myself, but have no issues hanging out and talking. I basically don’t expect my roommates to become best friends, but wouldn’t mind us at least being friendly.
Please provide some info about yourself if you reach out. I'm definitely taking my time to find the right person, and I'm not going to respond to anyone who clearly hasn't read what I've written above (or disregards things I've been clear about), asks inappropriate questions, etc.
