Offered for sale is an early 70's Kenworth cabover, tandem axle truck that has a 13'6"( plus 9" for the dump cylinder ) aluminum dump body mounted on it. The dump was added perhaps 20 years ago to create an offroad dumptruck configuration. I have personally hauled maybe 30 loads of dirt and rock back in the day, so I know it did work ( and worked well ). We put Oak boards in the bottom and pressure treated plywood along the sides to protect the aluminum body from rock damage and the overall condition of the dump it quite good given the age. The truck has an unusual torsion spring suspension that offers a LOT of axle movement which does aid with maintaining traction. It has a Cummins V-8 ,turbo, non-emissions, and non-computer engine with either a 9 or 10 speed tranny ( can't remember ). It has an air starter that really whirled that old Cummins in the day too! I'd say if you can get clean fuel to the injectors, it'd crank right up....but it's not been cranked in years. You can use the dump on another truck or fix up this chassis...whatever you choose. It was my dad's and I have no use for it now. You should plan on hauling this truck to your shop. The tailgate is off the truck, but included in the sale. Asking $2500 OBO ( cash talks ).
