Due to a serious illness, I am helping a family member downsize a beloved flock of rare chickens. There are several roosters to go with the hens because when you have a rare kind you need to keep some breeding stock. They are different ages (I know which year, banded). They are called Sultan or Serai Taook (sometimes written Tavook). They are kept primarily for ornamental purposes but in the spring especially they've always produced lots of eggs. They are only for a certain kind of person, not a general chicken person. You can read about them on the Livestock Conservancy website as they are considered threatened. That designation means there are fewer than seven breeding flocks left in the U.S. and less than 1000 breeding birds. They were recently under the critically endangered designation which meant less than 5 breeding flocks and 500 birds. There are a few that are retired and could go for free to pick bugs in your yard. If you are reasonable we can negotiate prices as there are 20+ right now.
